IT MES (Manager)

Role & responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Lead and mentor an IT team in designing, building, and deploying scalable MES solutions across manufacturing facilities.
• MES Roadmap & Delivery: Drive end-to-end MES project execution and define the long-term shop-floor digital strategy aligned with business goals.
• System Integration: Direct integrations between MES, enterprise systems (ERP/PLM), and shop-floor automation (SCADA, PLC, IoT, OPC UA).
• Technical Governance: Establish software architecture, coding standards, QA processes, and vendor management best practices.
• Operational Excellence: Partner with OT and plant engineering teams to optimize production workflows, maintain high system availability, and ensure data security.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, IT, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 8+ years in IT/Manufacturing IT, with 5+ years in MES implementation and 3+ years managing/leading development teams.
• Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with major MES platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, SAP ME/MII, AVEVA), standard databases (SQL Server/Oracle), and integration frameworks.
• Standards & Methodologies: In-depth knowledge of ISA-95/ISA-88 standards, Industry 4.0 concepts, and Agile/DevOps development models.
• Soft Skills: Excellent cross-functional communication, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to bridge IT and shop-floor operational needs.
