IT Network Associate

Job Summary

The Network Admin Assistant will be the Level 2 (L2) network support for the following locations: Edsa office, One Filinvest, Beaufort, and all Filinvest Land, Inc. (FLI) branches. He will also serve as backup L2 support for the other offices of Filinvest. The assistant is responsible for providing technical support and maintaining network operations across all these sites.

Duties and Responsibilities

Technical Support and Operations

• Provide L2 support for network issues encountered by users at the specified locations.

• Monitor and maintain the health and performance of the network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.

• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, including physical and logical problems related to copper and fiber cabling, switching, VLANs, routing, and firewall filtering.

Network Administration and Maintenance

• Assist in the implementation of new network technologies and systems.

• Perform regular maintenance tasks such as software updates, configuration backups, and system audits.

• Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Coordination and Collaboration

• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to address complex network problems and projects.

• Provide support to the Data Center & Network Team for critical or major network issues as needed.

Assist in ensuring that network operations align with the company's strategic goals and objectives.

Technical Competencies and Skills

• Knowledge of network and network security
• Familiarity with physical and logical network connectivity, including LAN, WAN, fiber and copper cabling, switching, VLAN, routing, and firewall filtering.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to work in a rapid paced corporate environment.

Education, Trainings and Licenses Required

Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
