IT Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and network systems. Your expertise will help optimize technology performance, troubleshoot technical issues promptly, and provide exceptional support to end-users. Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for hardware, software, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and network issues.
• Manage help desk systems and customer support ticketing to ensure timely resolution of user inquiries and problems.
• Maintain and support computer networks including LAN (Local Area Network), TCP/IP protocols, DNS (Domain Name System), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and TCP configurations.
• Oversee Active Directory management, including user account creation, permissions, GPO (Group Policy Objects), and security settings.
• Support computer hardware maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, desktop support, and computer management tasks.
• Assist in configuring and supporting mobile devices, operating systems, and IT infrastructure components.
• Conduct analysis of system logs and network traffic to identify issues proactively and implement solutions swiftly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT support roles with a strong understanding of help desk systems and customer service principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Knowledge of computer networking concepts such as LAN, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, TCP/IP protocols, and network troubleshooting techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory management, hardware support, software troubleshooting, and equipment diagnostics.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues related to operating systems including Windows (Windows 10/11), macOS, Linux distributions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
• Analysis skills for diagnosing complex technical problems quickly and effectively.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $28.50 - $34.33 per hour

Expected hours: 48.0 per week
