IT Operation Team Lead

About the role

Lead and manage an IT operations team responsible for hardware, operating systems, storage, backup, and monitoring functions. You will oversee systematic troubleshooting, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives while providing technical guidance to team members and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage IT operations team including hardware, operating system, storage, backup, and monitoring functions
• Conduct systematic troubleshooting and create countermeasures for identified issues
• Identify and support current operation issues and apply enhancements to improve team efficiency
• Manage team resources for regular operations and unexpected events aligned with ITIL concepts
• Provide technical guidance for both team members and customers
• Stay current with up-to-date technologies and share knowledge with team members
• Create detailed issue reports and present them to customers
• Create and present weekly reports to customers and supervisors
• Maintain and manage team inventories and Configuration Management
• Create and conduct training sessions for team members and customers

About you

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in IT or related fields
• At least 5 years' experience in IT Operations Management level or similar Leadership role
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure areas such as hardware, operating systems, storage, backup, and monitoring
• Experience managing teams with at least three members
• Strong leadership and team-building skills with ability to motivate and develop high-performing IT operations teams
• Ability to manage multi-generational teams
• Able to deliver small projects using team resources and knowledge
• Able to create and manage infrastructure scripts in any language
• Systematic and critical thinking skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to identify and address operational issues
• Strong service-minded and interpersonal skills
• Confidence in English communication in both verbal and written
• Willing to work flexible schedules, including after-hours and holidays
• Able to work onsite at client locations (Bang Bor, Samut Prakan) as required
• Experience in automotive manufacturing business is a plus
