IT Operations Analyst – Vendor Management OR Planning & Analytics

Élan Partners is recruiting for two IT Operations Analyst opportunities with a large financial services organization. Both positions support enterprise technology operations, with one focused on IT Vendor Management and the other on IT Planning & Analytics . We are seeking candidates with experience in either specialty. Candidates do not need experience in both areas to be considered.

Position 1: IT Vendor Management Analyst

This position supports technology vendor management, supplier governance, contract administration, and operational performance across an enterprise IT environment. The ideal candidate has experience working with technology vendors, monitoring supplier performance, managing SLAs and KPIs, and coordinating across Procurement, Legal, Finance, and IT Operations teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience in IT vendor management, supplier management, supplier governance, procurement operations, contract administration, program management, or operations.
• Experience working with enterprise technology vendors, IT services, end-user computing (EUC), or IT asset management.
• Experience monitoring and reporting on vendor SLAs, KPIs, scorecards, and operational performance.
• Experience supporting vendor onboarding, RFP processes, contract renewals, or compliance activities.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, track deliverables, and drive issues through resolution.

Preferred Technical Experience

• ServiceNow, SAP, Ariba, Coupa, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vendor governance meetings, supplier performance reviews, and follow-up activities.
• Monitor supplier SLAs, KPIs, scorecards, and service delivery performance.
• Support vendor onboarding, transitions, and ongoing supplier relationship management.
• Track vendor risks, escalations, corrective action plans, and operational issues through resolution.
• Assist with sourcing activities, RFP coordination, and supplier evaluations.
• Support contract administration, renewals, and tracking of contractual obligations.
• Prepare vendor performance reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership.
• Maintain supplier governance documentation, operating procedures, and audit-ready records.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Legal, Finance, and IT Operations to support vendor performance and service continuity.
• Identify opportunities to improve supplier governance processes and operational efficiency.

Position 2: IT Planning & Analytics Analyst

This position supports technology planning, forecasting, inventory management, and operational reporting, working closely with procurement, supplier management, and IT operations teams.

The ideal candidate has a strong analytical background, advanced Excel skills, and experience developing dashboards, analyzing trends, and translating data into actionable business recommendations. Experience with technology hardware, procurement, inventory management, or supply chain analytics is highly desirable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience in business analytics, IT operations, IT asset management, technology hardware, procurement analytics, supply chain, demand planning, or a related field.
• Advanced Excel skills , including experience analyzing large datasets and developing reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Experience with forecasting, trend analysis, inventory planning, or spend analytics.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Technical Experience

• Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or similar reporting and analytics tools.
• SAP, Ariba, Coupa, ServiceNow, or comparable enterprise platforms.
• Reporting automation, financial modeling, or AI-enabled analytics tools.
• Technology asset lifecycles, hardware refresh planning, or inventory forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze technology demand, purchasing trends, inventory levels, supplier lead times, and consumption patterns to support forecasting and planning.
• Develop dashboards, scorecards, and reports to track spending, inventory, operational performance, and key business metrics.
• Support technology asset lifecycle management, including product catalogs, SKUs, hardware refresh cycles, and end-of-sale reporting.
• Perform spend analysis, cost modeling, and scenario planning to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
• Partner with procurement, vendor management, and IT operations teams to improve data accuracy and forecasting.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports and streamline manual processes.
• Evaluate and leverage AI-enabled analytics and forecasting tools to improve reporting efficiency and decision-making.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership to support technology planning and operational initiatives.
