IT Operations & Vendor Management Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an IT Operations & Vendor Management Engineer to take ownership of infrastructure incidents, coordinate with multiple vendors, and ensure timely resolution of technical issues in a multi-vendor environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage infrastructure incidents from initial triage through resolution and closure.
• Perform ticket triage, severity assessment, escalation, and follow-up.
• Coordinate with Dell, NVIDIA, and other partner/vendor support teams to drive issue resolution.
• Lead bridge calls, assign action owners, track progress, and ensure timely closure.
• Provide clear technical updates, status reports, and summaries to customers and stakeholders.
• Manage changes, maintenance activities, and operational risks.
• Identify recurring incidents and drive preventive actions and operational improvements.
• Maintain accurate incident records, technical documentation, and operational runbooks.
• Work across compute, network, and storage domains to identify issues and route them to the appropriate technical team.

Core Technical & Operational Skills

• Linux administration and command-line troubleshooting.
• Hardware health checks and component-level fault isolation.
• Log analysis, issue triage, and root-cause-oriented troubleshooting.
• Performance validation and acceptance testing.
• Incident, escalation, and change management.
• Operational documentation and reporting.
• Ability to work effectively in multi-vendor environments with shared accountability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ideal Background

• Experience in managed services, residency operations, or infrastructure operations.
• Experience in technical account coordination or customer-facing technical support.
• Experience coordinating with technology vendors and support teams.
• Experience in infrastructure support leadership or incident management.
• Working knowledge of compute, storage, and network infrastructure.
• Strong ownership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, managed services, technical operations, or related fields.
• Experience handling infrastructure incidents, escalations, and vendor coordination is highly preferred.
