IT Infrastructure & Operations Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure & Operations Engineer to manage and support enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, databases, networks, security systems, and data center operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in infrastructure management, system administration, cybersecurity monitoring, and IT operations support.

• ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, network devices, and other IT peripherals.
• Administer and support Windows Server and Linux Server environments.
• Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases, including monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to IT infrastructure management, configurations, procedures, and operational activities.
• Monitor and manage systems, networks, and applications to identify suspicious activities and potential security threats.
• Analyze cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Perform routine maintenance, patch management, backup verification, and infrastructure health checks.
• Support infrastructure troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Ensure system availability, reliability, and performance across enterprise environments.
• RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, System Administration, or IT Operations.
• Strong experience managing and administering Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Experience with IT Infrastructure Operations, including servers, storage, networking, and enterprise systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred QualificationsHands-on experience configuring and administering:
• Microsoft Windows Server
• Microsoft Exchange Server
• Active Directory
• Backup Exec
• Experience managing network infrastructure, including:
• Firewalls
• Cisco networking devices and technologies
• Experience working with IT Security solutions, including:
• SIEM (Security Information and Event Management)
• Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS)
• Endpoint Protection / Antivirus Solutions
• Experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
• Experience using infrastructure and application monitoring tools such as:
• SolarWinds
• Dynatrace
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat monitoring, and incident response processes.
