IT Operations Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an IT Operations Manager to oversee daily IT services, coordinate technical support, and keep business systems running reliably. You'll work with internal teams and technology providers to resolve operational problems, manage IT priorities, and improve the systems employees rely on.

This role combines people coordination with practical technical oversight. You'll need to make sound decisions when issues arise, keep service requests moving, and communicate clearly about problems, progress, and planned changes.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Oversee daily IT operations, including technical support, system availability, and service requests.
• Coordinate IT staff and external providers to resolve technical issues and maintain service standards.
• Monitor system performance and follow up on recurring outages, support problems, and operational risks.
• Manage IT assets, software licences, equipment, and related records.
• Support user account administration, access controls, and routine security procedures.
• Coordinate system updates, technology deployments, and infrastructure changes.
• Maintain IT procedures, service records, and technical documentation.
• Review operational processes and recommend changes that improve reliability and reduce avoidable delays.
• Track service performance and prepare updates for business stakeholders.
• Assist with IT budgets, vendor coordination, purchasing, and renewal planning.
• Work with other departments to understand technology requirements and prioritise support.
• Ensure IT activities follow applicable security policies and internal procedures.

What You'll Bring

• Experience in IT operations, IT service management, systems administration, or a related field.
• Experience coordinating technical teams, service providers, or IT support activities.
• A practical understanding of business systems, networks, user administration, and IT infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
• Familiarity with service desk processes, ticketing systems, and IT asset management.
• The ability to monitor service issues and follow them through to resolution.
• Clear communication skills when working with technical and non-technical teams.
• Good judgement when handling access permissions, confidential information, and operational risks.
• Experience with IT budgets, vendor relationships, or service-level agreements is useful.

Working Arrangements

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, combining on-site work in New Orleans with remote work according to the employer's established policy.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
