IT (Product Engineering) Intern

Job Duties:

System Enhancement:

o Analyze system requirements and propose improvements.

o Develop and implement new features or modules in the system.

o Optimize existing code and workflows for better performance.

Issue Resolution:

o Investigate and troubleshoot software-related incidents escalated from first-line.

o Provide advanced technical support by analyzing logs, debugging software, and utilizing internal tools to diagnose and fix issues.

o Work closely with development teams to resolve bugs and ensure fixes are included in future releases.

o Escalate issues to development when necessary, providing comprehensive documentation of the problem.

o Update and maintain automation scripts as needed to improve support efficiency and resolve recurring issues.

Collaboration:

o Work in conjunction with the development and QA teams to identify patterns, root causes, and solutions for recurring issues.

o Contribute to knowledge sharing by documenting solutions and troubleshooting steps for future reference by the support team.

Continuous Improvement:

o Collaborate with first-line support to improve the troubleshooting process, enhance customer communication, and reduce the time taken to resolve incidents.

o Identify recurring issues and work with development teams to address these through bug fixes or feature enhancements.

o Recommend improvements to the product and processes based on customer feedback and incident trends.

Required Skill Set:

• Basic knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Fundamental programming and web development skills.
• Basic understanding of database queries and data manipulation.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with development tools such as Visual Studio Code.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
