The IT Program Manager serves as the strategic link between business units, IT teams, and external technology partners, ensuring technology initiatives align with business goals and priorities. This role is responsible for managing stakeholder relationships, overseeing vendor partnerships, planning and monitoring IT budgets, identifying and recommending technology solutions, and driving the successful delivery of IT programs. The position fosters collaboration across business and technology teams to deliver measurable business value, support innovation, and achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Alignment of IT and Business Objectives

Partner with business units and leadership teams to align IT strategies, roadmaps, and initiatives with organizational goals. Ensure technology investments, projects, and programs support business priorities and deliver expected outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, key stakeholders, and IT teams through regular engagement and collaboration. Act as the primary point of contact for technology-related initiatives, providing updates on project status, program performance, risks, and key decisions to ensure transparency, alignment, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Vendor Management and Strategic Partnerships

Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and third-party partners to ensure the delivery of quality products and services. Oversee vendor performance, contract compliance, service-level agreements (SLAs), and commercial negotiations. Collaborate with vendors to evaluate new technologies, drive innovation, and optimize vendor value and performance.

Budget Planning and Financial Management

Develop, manage, and monitor IT program and project budgets to ensure cost-effective utilization of resources and alignment with business objectives. Track expenditures, forecast budget requirements, evaluate investment opportunities, and provide regular financial reporting to stakeholders. Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets while maximizing business value.

Technology Assessment and Advisory

Identify, evaluate, and recommend technology solutions that address business needs and opportunities while aligning with the enterprise IT strategy. Facilitate solution assessments, proof-of-concepts, business case development, and cross-functional collaboration with vendors, IT teams, and business stakeholders to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

IT Demand and Portfolio Management

Manage the intake, assessment, and prioritization of IT demands, projects, and initiatives based on strategic objectives, business value, resource capacity, and budget considerations. Collaborate with business leaders to support portfolio planning, investment reviews, and technology roadmap development.

Program Governance and Delivery Oversight

Provide oversight of multiple IT programs and initiatives to ensure successful delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations. Monitor risks, dependencies, and issues while working with delivery teams to implement mitigation plans and ensure business objectives are achieved.

IT Collaboration and Service Delivery Enablement

Promote effective collaboration across IT teams, business units, and external partners to ensure the successful delivery of priority initiatives and support services. Drive operational excellence by improving system reliability, service quality, and overall value delivered to the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5-8 years of experience in IT Program Management, IT Relationship Management, Project Management, Business Analysis, or a related role.
• Proven experience in stakeholder management, including engagement with senior business leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Strong experience in vendor management, including contract negotiations, performance management, SLA monitoring, and third-party relationship management.
• Demonstrated experience in budget planning, financial management, forecasting, and cost control for IT programs and projects.
• Strong understanding of business processes, enterprise technologies, and emerging technology trends.
• Experience managing multiple IT programs, projects, and strategic initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Knowledge of IT governance, portfolio management, risk management, and service delivery frameworks is an advantage.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, ITIL, or related certifications are preferred.
