IT Project Manager - AI and Python expertise

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager with strong expertise in Python-based development and AI/ML solutions to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of software development, AI/ML implementation, project management methodologies, and cross-functional team leadership.

The candidate will work closely with engineering teams, data scientists, AI specialists, business stakeholders, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects involving Python development, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative AI.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, resource requirements, and delivery plans.
• Manage cross-functional teams comprising Python developers, AI/ML engineers, data scientists, QA engineers, and DevOps professionals.
• Work with technical teams to understand solution architecture, application development, API integrations, AI model deployment, and system integration requirements.
• Coordinate the development and implementation of AI-powered applications, automation solutions, and data-driven products.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Engage with clients and business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide project updates, and manage expectations.
• Ensure adherence to software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, Agile/Scrum practices, quality standards, and project governance.
• Manage budgets, resource allocation, delivery schedules, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with technical leads to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
• Track project KPIs, prepare status reports, and communicate delivery risks and achievements to senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes, team productivity, and solution quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 8–12 years of overall experience in IT project management or software delivery.
• Proven experience managing Python-based application development projects.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-driven business solutions.
• Experience working with Python frameworks and technologies such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Familiarity with AI/ML libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or LangChain.
• Understanding of REST APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and application integration.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, sprint planning, backlog management, and release management.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or MS Project.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, team leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables and manage complex project dependencies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering AI/ML or Generative AI projects in production environments.
• Familiarity with cloud AI services on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Exposure to MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, model deployment, monitoring, and AI governance.
• Experience managing distributed or global teams and client-facing technology engagements.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification.

Pay: ₹1,800,000.00 - ₹3,600,000.00 per year
