IT Project Manager – Banking Domain

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager with 5–12 years of experience in managing end-to-end IT projects. Candidates with strong experience in the Banking / BFSI domain will be preferred. The ideal candidate should have strong project planning, stakeholder management, risk management, and delivery skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage IT projects from initiation to successful delivery, ensuring scope, timelines, budget, and quality are maintained.
• Develop and manage project plans, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and resources.
• Coordinate with business, technology, product, QA, infrastructure, and external stakeholders.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations proactively.
• Track project progress and provide regular status reports to senior management.
• Facilitate project meetings, sprint planning, reviews, and stakeholder discussions.
• Ensure effective communication across cross-functional teams.
• Manage project scope and ensure timely delivery of agreed requirements.
• Coordinate with technical teams to resolve project-level blockers and dependencies.
• Ensure adherence to organizational processes, governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–12 years of experience in IT Project Management / Technology Project Management.
• Strong experience in end-to-end project delivery and stakeholder management.
• Banking / BFSI / Financial Services domain experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Agile / Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and software development processes.
• Experience in managing project risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, and timelines.
• Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Good to Have

• PMP / PRINCE2 / Scrum Master certification.
• Experience with banking applications, digital banking, payments, lending, core banking, or financial platforms.
• Experience managing large-scale transformation or technology projects.
• Exposure to cloud, API, integration, or enterprise application projects.
