IT Project Manager

About the role

The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing IT consulting and implementation projects within the agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality requirements. The role coordinates customers, consultants, technical teams, and vendors from project initiation through delivery and closure.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer requirements, proposals, TOR, contracts and Deliverables
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
• Conduct project kick-off meetings and confirm responsibilities
• Coordinate project teams, customers, and vendors
• Track progress, deliverables, dependencies, and man-day usage
• Manage risks, issues, and change requests
• Serve as the primary contact for project coordination
• Conduct status meetings, Minutes of Meeting and manage customer expectations
• Coordinate deliverable reviews, testing, and UAT where applicable
• Prepare project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, risk and issue logs, and acceptance records

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least 3 years of IT project experience, including 2 years in project management or an equivalent role
• Working knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid project delivery
• Ability to manage schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and changes
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Organized, accountable, and customer-oriented
• Able to manage competing priorities and follow through on commitments
• Experience in IT consulting, system implementation, cybersecurity, or IT governance is preferred
• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification is an advantage but is not required.
