The Franchise Tax Board (FTB) is seeking a motivated, proactive Project Manager who is passionate about leading IT projects, influencing outcomes, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will join a dedicated team of individuals experienced in managing a variety of IT projects. We are looking for candidates who have:

• Demonstrated experience managing IT initiatives using structured project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
• Experience preparing core governance artifacts (project management plans, schedules, risk logs, communication plans) in accordance with CA-PMF / PMI-aligned practices
• Ability to identify risks, issues, and dependencies early and communicate them clearly to stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical skills with experience using data or metrics to make project decisions and validate deliverables
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate project documentation, and keep project schedules, roadmaps, and libraries up to date
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with project teams, management, and customers, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Experience facilitating meetings, coordinating project activities, and ensuring effective follow-through on action items and deliverables
• Experience using project management tools (Azure DevOps, MS Project, SharePoint, O365) for planning, tracking, and reporting
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage ambiguity, and remain resilient during periods of organizational change or project complexity, while demonstrating initiative, accountability, dependability, and consistent follow-through
