IT Project Manager (Manager - Assistant Vice President)

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in consultation with key stakeholders and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets whilst identifying resource requirements and potential risks
• Lead cross-functional project teams, providing direction, motivation, and support to ensure successful project delivery
• Monitor project progress against established baselines, tracking key performance indicators and identifying areas for improvement
• Manage project risks and issues proactively, implementing mitigation strategies and contingency plans as required
• Communicate project status regularly to senior management and stakeholders through reports, presentations, and meetings
• Ensure quality assurance throughout the project, conducting testing and validation to meet defined acceptance criteria
• Oversee budget management, cost control, and resource allocation to optimise project profitability
• Facilitate post-project reviews and document lessons learned to enhance future project delivery
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies relevant to the organization

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile (Scrum Master), or equivalent preferred.

Work Experience

• 8 to 10+ years of IT professional experience
• Over 5 years of experience in IT project management.
• Proven experience managing medium to large-scale IT projects.
• Experience in Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid methodologies.
• Experience in Software system implementation, Digital transformation, or Infrastructure projects.
• Experience in Financial services, Banking, or Enterprise systems is an advantage.
