IT Project Manager – State Government / Application Modernization

We are seeking an IT Project Manager to work out of Santa Fe, New Mexico

We are seeking a Mid-Level IT Project Manager to support a major state-government technology initiative in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The PM will work with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and leadership to drive project delivery from planning through implementation and go-live.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues
• Coordinate technical and business teams
• Manage vendors and stakeholders
• Track project deliverables and timelines
• Lead project status meetings and reporting
• Support application modernization/replacement initiatives
• Coordinate testing, UAT, deployment, and go-live activities
• Manage project documentation and governance
• Identify and escalate project risks and blockers

Required

• Mid-level IT Project Management experience
• Experience with application/system implementation or modernization
• Experience managing cross-functional technical teams
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management
• Experience with project risks, issues, dependencies, and status reporting
• Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project delivery experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to work onsite in Santa Fe, NM

Preferred

• State government/public-sector experience
• Financial, tax, revenue, DMV, or other government systems experience
• Migration/cutover/go-live experience
• PMP or similar certification
