IT Project Officer (Project-Based)

About the Role

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented IT Project Officer to manage and coordinate IT projects from planning to completion.

The role will work closely with developers, QA testers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and according to requirements. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing IT projects end-to-end, directly coordinating developers, and working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate IT or software development projects from initiation to completion.
• Work directly with developers to assign, monitor, and follow up on project tasks and deliverables.
• Create and maintain project workflows, timelines, task lists, milestones, and deliverables.
• Break down project requirements into clear and manageable tasks.
• Lead or assist in Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Retrospective meetings.
• Monitor sprint progress, project deadlines, milestones, and overall project status.
• Coordinate with developers, QA testers, designers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track and follow up on development tasks, blockers, dependencies, and overdue deliverables.
• Coordinate QA testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure identified issues are properly tracked and resolved.
• Review completed deliverables against agreed project requirements and specifications.
• Identify project delays, risks, blockers, and scope issues and escalate them appropriately.
• Manage project activities using Jira, Trello, ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com, Notion, or similar project management tools.
• Prepare weekly project status reports, progress updates, and other project documentation.
• Maintain complete and organized project records, sprint documentation, requirements, and project reports.
• Support the IT team in keeping projects on schedule and within the agreed scope and requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in IT Project Management or IT Project Coordination.
• Proven experience managing IT or software development projects end-to-end, from planning and requirements gathering through implementation and completion.
• Experience directly managing and coordinating developers, including task assignment, progress monitoring, and deadline tracking.
• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Tracking, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives.
• Experience coordinating QA testing, UAT, bug tracking, and deliverable validation.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Trello, ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com, or Notion.
• Basic understanding of software development and web development processes.
• Strong organizational, communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple project tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with developers, QA testers, designers, and other stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling web application, SaaS, API, CRM, ERP, database, or automation projects.
• Experience preparing user stories, process flows, sprint documentation, project reports, and project status updates.
• Scrum or Agile certification is an advantage.
• Technical background is an advantage but not required.

Key Screening Requirements

• 2–3 years of IT Project Management experience
• End-to-end IT project management experience
• Direct experience managing/coordinating developers
• Actual hands-on Scrum/Sprint experience
• QA/UAT and project management tool experience
