IT Project Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned IT, or A/V, Infrastructure Technician to lead on-site deployments. You will be responsible for complex, multi-phase installations, from running cabling, installing equipment, building head ends, and beyond. This role offers the opportunity to travel up to 2 weeks per month, visiting new sites and regions while working alongside a talented, collaborative team. You must be comfortable working independently and have the ability to naturally lead and mentor other technicians.

Responsibilities

• Expert-level installation of network cabling, including termination and testing.
• Racking/stacking servers, network switches, and installing wireless Access Points (WAPs) and Point-to-Point (PtP) wireless bridges in diverse environments.
• Comfort working on ladders, lifts, and rooftops.
• Implementing impeccable wire management and labeling standards.
• Performing quality control checks and updating documentation.
• Travel up to 2 weeks per month to support on-site projects and client deployments.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in low-voltage or IT/AV field technician roles.
• Proficiency with cable testers.
• Understanding of networking hardware components.
• Ability to read floor plans, blueprints, and signal heat maps.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• High mechanical aptitude (comfortable with power drills, levels, and hand tools).
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
