IT QUALITY ASSURANCE - (INTERNSHIP)

Job Summary

The QA Testing Intern will support the Quality Assurance team in testing Xure’s web and mobile applications. The intern will gain hands-on experience in software testing by assisting with test execution, documentation, bug reporting, regression testing, and quality assurance activities throughout the software development lifecycle.

This internship is designed to provide practical exposure to QA processes, testing methodologies, and collaboration with developers and other members of the technology team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in performing manual testing of Xure’s web and mobile applications.
• Execute assigned functional, smoke, regression, exploratory, and compatibility test scenarios under the guidance of the QA team.
• Assist in creating and executing test cases based on requirements and assigned testing scenarios.
• Review requirements and UI/UX designs to understand expected application functionality.
• Assist in identifying, documenting, and reporting bugs and issues with clear reproduction steps and supporting screenshots or recordings.
• Perform retesting of reported issues after fixes have been implemented.
• Assist with regression testing to ensure that system changes do not affect existing functionality.
• Support testing across different browsers, devices, operating systems, and environments.
• Maintain accurate test results, test case records, and QA documentation.
• Assist the QA team in preparing test scenarios, test cases, test reports, and other testing-related documents.
• Coordinate with QA team members and developers when investigating and clarifying reported issues.
• Provide regular updates regarding assigned testing tasks and progress.
• Observe and learn established QA standards, SDLC, STLC, and software testing best practices.
• Participate in team discussions, testing activities, and other QA-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be eligible to complete an internship/OJT program as required by the school.
• Basic understanding of software development and software testing concepts.
• Familiarity with web and mobile applications is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of test cases, bug reporting, and quality assurance is a plus.
• Detail-oriented and willing to learn.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work collaboratively with the QA team and developers.
• Willing to learn new tools, technologies, and software testing practices.
