IT Security Analyst (SOC) – APAC

We are looking for an experienced IT Security Analyst (SOC) to join our IT Security team. This role is responsible for supporting Security Operations Centre (SOC) activities across the APAC region and working closely with the central IT Security team in Germany. The successful candidate will be expected to operate independently after onboarding and contribute to the continuous improvement of our global security operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events and alerts across the organization's infrastructure and endpoints.
• Investigate and triage potential security incidents, including initial assessment, escalation, and documentation.
• Perform threat hunting and proactively identify indicators of compromise (IOCs).
• Support security incident response in close collaboration with the central IT Security team in Germany.
• Review and refine detection rules, alert logic, and response playbooks to continuously improve SOC quality.
• Contribute to the documentation of security processes, incident reports, and operational procedures.
• Act as the regional part of our global IT Security team within the APAC time zone, ensuring extended operational coverage.

Requirements

• Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a SOC or similar security operations environment.
• Solid understanding of SIEM, EDR, network security, and the ability to work independently with enterprise-grade security platforms. (Must-have)
• Solid understanding of email security concepts and technologies. (Must-have)
• Experience with threat intelligence, log analysis, and incident response workflows.
• Exposure to cloud security is an advantage.
• Basic scripting or automation skills (Python or PowerShell) are an advantage.
• Structured and analytical approach with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple incidents simultaneously. (Must-have)
• Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Able to work independently with minimal onboarding.
• Willing to work across time zones and travel to Germany when required.
