IT Security Specialist

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

IT Security Specialist is responsible for the technical policies and configuration of Enchanted Kingdom's security posture as it pertains to the internal and external network. Assesses the strength of the hardware and network in preventing malicious attacks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

IT SECURITY

• Maintain the IT Firewall system, tuning and configuring to prevent outside attacks while at the same time allowing internal systems the correct access or permissions.
• Take the lead in incident response activities and reporting
• Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of corporate guidelines, policies and procedures as it relates to network and device security
• Work with other teams in IT to ensure their systems and applications are following IT Security best practices.
• Protect the Enchanted Kingdom's network from malicious use and outside bad actors by implementing new systems and applications protecting EKIs internal as well as guest-facing data.
• Performs remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
• Directs unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
• Support vulnerability assessments and assist in the identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities.
• Records events and problems and their resolution in ticket system.
• Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to enhance knowledge and contribute to the overall security posture.
• Submits complete and accurate Firewall reports as scheduled.
• Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the superior.

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• 1-2 years working experience in the IT Security field
• 1-2 years working experience in IT related field
• Demonstrated application of security policies and procedures.
• Certifications a plus but not required
• Good understanding of computer systems, networking systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
• Working knowledge with Fortinet or equivalent network firewall brands and technology.
• Working knowledge with Sophos or equivalent enterprise grade anti-virus
• Basic knowledge on remediation of malware/viruses/Trojans
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and security principles.
• Familiarity with security technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and antivirus solutions.
• Knowledge of common security protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, DNS, DHCP).
• Proficiency in writing and speaking English
• Excellent communication skills
