IT Security Specialist

We are looking for an IT Security Specialist to focus on identifying threats, strengthening defensive controls, and working with stakeholders across campus to address security needs. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender, Splunk, and enterprise security alert management, along with the technical ability to investigate issues and recommend practical solutions.

• At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, or a related IT security role.

• Demonstrated hands-on expertise with Microsoft Defender in a production environment.

• Strong working knowledge of Splunk for monitoring, searching, and investigating security events.

• Experience managing or responding to security alerts and intrusion-related activity in an enterprise setting.

• Ability to support firewall requests, analyze issues, and work through access or connectivity concerns.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview and data loss prevention concepts or tools.
