IT Senior Network Engineer

Job purpose

Independently resolve complex network incidents and execute controlled improvements across switching, routing, wireless, WAN, VPN, and network-security services.

Job duties

• Own complex incident diagnosis across LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, and network-access services; drive restoration and root-cause evidence.
• Implement approved configurations for switches, routing, VLANs, wireless controllers, VPN, and network-monitoring systems.
• Review network utilization, error rates, availability, and capacity trends; raise improvement actions and upgrade requirements.
• Validate network-security segmentation and firewall-policy requests in coordination with authorized security and system owners.
• Lead controlled firmware upgrades, configuration backups, recovery validation, and post-change testing.
• Mentor Network Specialists and review their change plans, troubleshooting evidence, and documentation.
• Contribute to network standards, bill of materials, implementation plans, and vendor technical discussions.
• Support exercises and test connectivity for critical systems, branches, and infrastructure platforms.

Job requirements and specifications

• Bachelor degree in faculty of engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2 - 4 years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of L2 and L3 switching, routing, WAN links, VLAN segmentation, wireless, SD-WAN concepts, VPN, firewall policy support, and monitoring.
• Experience troubleshooting with packet captures, logs, monitoring tools, and configuration comparison. Preferred: CCNA/CCNP Enterprise, Aruba, Fortinet, or equivalent certification.
