Automation Frameworks

Key responsibilities:

Automation Strategy & Framework Development:

  • Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable automation frameworks (Keyword-Driven, Data-Driven, or Hybrid) using UFT tailored for dealer portal, legacy mainframe systems, and API layers.

  • Transition legacy manual testing processes into high-coverage automated regression suites to accelerate release cycles.

  • Ensure automated test scripts are seamlessly integrated into the DevOps CI/CD pipeline for continuous execution

Team Leadership & Onsite Coordination:

  • Lead and mentor a team of onsite and offshore automation QA engineers, assigning tasks and conducting regular script code reviews.

  • Act as the primary onsite point of contact for business analysts, developers, and project managers to gather system requirements.

  • Manage defect triage meetings, prioritize bug fixes with development teams, and provide executive quality metrics/dashboards to stakeholders

Automotive & dealer portal Domain Testing

  • Oversee end-to-end testing of core automotive dealer workflows including vehicle ordering, parts inventory management, warranty claims processing, and dealer incentive management.

  • Validate data accuracy across integrations between dealer portal, downstream ERP systems, and third-party logistics providers.

Technical Skills & Qualifications:

  • UFT Expertise: Minimum 5–8 years of heavy hands-on experience using UFT/QTP, including advanced VBScripting, descriptive programming, and object repository handling. [1]

  • Automotive Domain Knowledge: Prior experience testing automotive dealer management systems (DMS), dealer portals, or supply chain/logistics applications is highly preferred.

  • Database & Integration Testing: Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries to validate back-end data transactions and testing REST/SOAP APIs.

  • Test Management Tools: Deep familiarity with Micro Focus ALM / Quality Center (for UFT integration) or Jira for test execution and defect mapping

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

  • Clear Client facing Communication: Ability to translate complex technical defects into business risks for non-technical automotive stakeholders.

  • Problem Solving: Proactive troubleshooting of dynamic UI elements and legacy system synchronization issues in UFT.

  • Shift-Left Mindset: Championing a culture where testing begins early in the development lifecycle with incremental improved speed to market and quality outcomes.
