IT Solution Analyst - Freelance

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum experience in 3 complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) cycles, with hands-on exposure to solution analysis and solution architecture.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, system development processes, technical solution design, and business process analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and recommend effective solutions.
• Strong requirements elicitation skills, with the ability to deeply understand and translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
• Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation, including High-Level Design (HLD), process flow/flowcharts, solution mock-ups, acceptance testing documentation, and other relevant solution documents.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and a good sense of user experience and usability.
• Experience in developing interactive dashboards and data visualization to generate insights from large datasets.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business users, technology teams, operations, vendors, and other related stakeholders.
• Able to analyze and evaluate technical system designs and business processes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Experience in mining business processes or mining industry operations is an advantage.
• Previous experience as a Software Developer/Engineer is an advantage.
• Familiarity with solution design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Whimsical, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with task and project management tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Trello, or equivalent.
• Fast learner, self-starter, proactive, and able to work effectively in a dynamic digital transformation environment.
• Strong collaboration, coordination, and communication skills across cross-functional teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate and analyze business requests for new solutions, system enhancements, and digital initiatives received through the demand management process.

• Conduct requirements elicitation and translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements

• Analyze business processes, identify gaps and root causes, and recommend opportunities for process and solution improvement.

• Design and evaluate alternative technical solutions based on business requirements, technical feasibility, scalability, usability, and expected business value.

• Develop and maintain solution design documentation, including High-Level Design (HLD), process flow/flowcharts, solution mock-ups, acceptance testing criteria, and other required technical documentation.

• Ensure solution designs are aligned with enterprise technology standards, business processes, and the overall digital technology roadmap.

• Coordinate and communicate effectively with the Digital Factory & Operation (DIFO) team, business users, vendors, and relevant stakeholders throughout the solution lifecycle.

• Orchestrate and activate relevant internal functions, including Technology, Mining, Change Management, and Operations, as well as external parties, to ensure effective execution of solution proposals.

• Facilitate discussions to investigate, evaluate, and compare alternative solutions and provide recommendations for the preferred solution.

• Collaborate with the Digital Factory & Operation (DIFO) team throughout the solution development and implementation process.

• Support the establishment of solution success criteria, acceptance criteria, and appropriate measurement indicators.

• Participate in solution testing, validation, and acceptance activities to ensure the delivered solution meets defined business and technical requirements.

• Data & Digital Insight

• Develop or support the development of interactive dashboards and data visualizations to provide actionable insights from large datasets.

• Leverage data and digital technologies to support business decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Continuous Improvement & Digital Transformation

• Analyze and evaluate existing technical systems, business models, and processes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Act as a Digitalization Ambassador by promoting digital adoption, digital ways of working, and a strong digital culture across the organization.

• Contribute to initiatives that improve process synchronization, solution effectiveness, and overall business value realization.

• Ensure solution proposals are aligned with business objectives and deliver maximum expected value to the organization.

• Establish appropriate measurement criteria to evaluate solution effectiveness and outcomes.

• Support the Demand Solution function as the demand/requirements frontier, ensuring business needs are properly assessed, prioritized, and translated into viable solution proposals.

• Provide support to other departments within the Digital & Technology Division as required.

• Perform other relevant responsibilities assigned by the Head of Demand Solution.
