Duties

• Manage and support computer networks, including LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), and firewall configurations to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
• Provide desktop support for end-users across various operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux, troubleshooting hardware and software issues efficiently.
• Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments, Active Directory services, and SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) for user management and software deployment.
• Conduct software troubleshooting to resolve issues related to Microsoft Office applications, custom enterprise software, or other business tools.
• Support help desk operations by logging incidents using ServiceNow or BMC Remedy, prioritizing tickets, and delivering timely resolution with excellent customer service.
• Configure and maintain network components like TCP/IP protocols, switches, routers, and firewalls to optimize network performance.
• Assist with computer hardware setup, upgrades, repairs, and inventory management to ensure all equipment functions at peak performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Jira or ServiceNow for issue tracking and project management while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

Experience

• Proven experience supporting computer networks including LANs, TCP/IP protocols, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and TCP communications.
• Hands-on desktop support experience across multiple operating systems such as Windows (including Windows Server), macOS, and Linux.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration and Active Directory management.
• Familiarity with enterprise tools like SCCM for software deployment and updates.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware components including computers, servers, switches, routers, and peripherals.
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional technical support in a help desk environment while maintaining excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of network security principles including firewall configuration and VPN setup to safeguard organizational data.
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues quickly using analysis skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions efficiently.

Pay: £25,420.00-£46,692.88 per year
