IT Specialist - Software

JOB OBJECTIVE

To provide technical support and maintain the company’s computing environment, applications, systems, and IT infrastructure by identifying system requirements, troubleshooting issues, monitoring system performance, and ensuring the availability, accuracy, and integrity of IT systems and data.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide technical support to users for hardware, software, applications, and system-related concerns.
2. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, software, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
3. Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of business applications and systems.
4. Process, update, and maintain application and user data accurately and timely.
5. Generate and submit regular, ad-hoc, and other IT-related reports accurately and within required deadlines.
6. Monitor system performance and identify issues that may affect business operations.
7. Ensure the accuracy, security, and integrity of system and application data.
8. Assist in software development, programming, testing, system enhancements, and troubleshooting as required.
9. Provide technical support for RPro (Retail Pro) and other retail-related applications, if applicable.
10. Assist in software updates, system upgrades, installations, and configuration.
11. Maintain proper documentation of IT assets, systems, applications, issues, and troubleshooting activities.
12. Conduct user orientation, training, and knowledge transfer as needed.
13. Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers for IT-related concerns when necessary.
14. Assist in monitoring and maintaining network connectivity and other IT infrastructure.
15. Observe and implement company policies and procedures related to IT security and data protection.
16. Provide timely assistance to different departments to ensure smooth IT operations.
17. Perform other IT-related tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• With relevant experience in IT support, software applications, system administration, or programming.
• Knowledge or experience in RPro (Retail Pro) retail software solution is an advantage.
• Knowledge of hardware, software, network troubleshooting, database management, and system applications.
• Experience in data processing, report generation, system monitoring, and application support.
• Basic knowledge of software development and programming is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail, particularly in maintaining accurate system data and reports.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organized, proactive, and capable of handling multiple tasks and priorities.
• Willing to provide user support, training, and knowledge transfer when required.
• Willing to work onsite and provide support to different departments and company locations as needed.
• Willing to perform other IT-related duties as assigned.
