About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Staff member to join our technology team in Metro Manila on a full-time basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting and developing our technological infrastructure, ensuring our systems run smoothly and efficiently. This position is strategically important to our organisation as it directly supports our educational delivery capabilities and enables our teams to operate at peak efficiency. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing our IT systems whilst contributing to the development of solutions that support our educational mission.

Key responsibilities

1. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues across the organisation
2. Develop, maintain, and update applications and systems to meet the evolving needs of our educational programmes
3. Assist in the design and implementation of IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support business objectives
4. Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure optimal performance and security
5. Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring availability and reliability of critical systems
6. Provide technical documentation and user support to staff members across all departments
7. Collaborate with other IT team members and stakeholders to identify and resolve technical challenges
8. Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and tools that could benefit the organisation
9. Assist with data management, backup procedures, and disaster recovery protocols
10. Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices across all systems and operations

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
2. Proven experience in software development, IT support, or systems administration, preferably within an educational or corporate environment
3. Strong proficiency in programming languages relevant to modern development (such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or similar)
4. Solid understanding of networking concepts, database management, and system architecture
5. Experience with operating systems including Windows, macOS, and/or Linux environments
6. Familiarity with cloud services, virtualisation technologies, and IT infrastructure management
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with team members
8. Strong communication abilities and customer service orientation, particularly when supporting non-technical staff
9. Knowledge of IT security best practices and experience implementing security measures
10. Preferred: Experience with educational technology systems, learning management systems (LMS),
