IT Support & System Engineer

About the role

Act as the first point of contact for IT issues, providing on-site and remote support for Windows 11 desktops, laptops, and peripherals. You will administer user accounts, licenses, and configurations across Microsoft 365, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and provide user support and training on Microsoft 365 tools. You will also monitor endpoint security, carry out routine health checks and preventive maintenance, handle cybersecurity incidents end to end, support IT projects such as hardware refresh and software deployment, and support the procurement of IT assets and coordination of service contract renewals.

Responsibilities:

1. End-User Support

• Act as the first point of contact for IT issues, providing on-site and remote support for Windows 11 desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Administer user accounts, licenses, and configurations across Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues promptly and escalate when necessary.
• Install, configure, and update operating systems, business applications, and security patches.
• Resolve network connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, VPN) and support CCTV and printing infrastructure.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and IT assets.
• Provide user support and training on Microsoft 365 tools to enhance IT proficiency across the organization.

2. System Maintenance, Security & Incident Handling

• Monitor endpoint security and ensure compliance with company IT policies.
• Carry out routine health checks and preventive maintenance on IT equipment and systems.
• Run and verify backup processes, and support data recovery procedures when required.
• Handle cybersecurity incidents end to end — initial triage, containment, escalation, and post-incident reporting.
• Assist in implementing security patches and updates promptly to mitigate vulnerabilities.

3. Project Support

• Support the planning and delivery of IT projects such as hardware refresh, software deployment, and version upgrades.
• Deliver assigned project tasks on schedule, and raise risks or blockers early.
• Coordinate with vendors on equipment delivery, installation, and handover.

4. Procurement & Contract Coordination

• Support the procurement of IT assets such as laptops, peripherals, and network equipment.
• Coordinate the renewal of service contracts, including maintenance agreements, broadband lines, and other IT services.
• Maintain the IT asset register and contract calendar so that renewals and compliance obligations are met on time.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in IT Support, IT Operations, and System Engineering, with experience in the real estate, hospitality, or service industries preferred.
• Practical working knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365 administration, and general networking (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN).
• Good understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and data protection requirements under PDPA/ GDPR.
• Exposure to ERP or CRM systems and to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure / Entra ID.
• Relevant certifications, for example CompTIA A+ / Network+ / Security+ or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals.
• Self-driven and well organised, able to prioritise and run day-to-day IT operations with limited supervision.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine service mindset when working with non-technical colleagues.
• Good English communication skills.
