**IT Support Contractor

Duration:**To 31 March 2027 Hourly Rate:$60 Per Hour +GST ****Location:****Timaru - onsite Hours: Full-time, with occasional 24/7 shift requirements
We’re looking for hands-on technology support professionals to join a large-scale technology migration programme, providing on-the-ground support to users following the rollout of new email, Microsoft Teams and devices. This is a highly user-focused role where you’ll be out with staff, troubleshooting issues, helping people get comfortable with new ways of working and making sure technical issues are resolved quickly.

The Role

• Provide hands-on, on-the-ground support following email, Teams and device migrations
• Act as the first point of contact for post-migration technical issues and questions
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly to minimise disruption
• Provide floor-walking support, user guidance and just-in-time training
• Help users adapt to new technology and ways of working
• Monitor and prioritise incidents based on user and operational impact
• Escalate more complex technical issues to specialist teams and coordinate resolution
• Gather user feedback and identify recurring issues or opportunities to improve the migration experience
• Keep stakeholders informed on issues, risks and resolution activities
• Help ensure users can return to normal operations as quickly as possible

About You

• Confident providing face-to-face, hands-on technical support
• Comfortable working directly with users in a busy environment
• Strong troubleshooters who can quickly understand and resolve issues
• Patient and confident explaining technology to people with different levels of technical experience
• Comfortable working as part of a wider technical and deployment team
• Flexible and able to travel between locations when required
• Available to work full-time onsite
• Able to work across a 24/7 environment on occasion, including shifts when required
