IT Support Engineer

Job Title: IT Support Engineer - Full Time

Overview:

We seek an experienced, self-motivated, skilled, and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to work on a full-time basis, with an immediate start preferred. You will provide technical assistance to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues, with a crucial focus on supporting VoIP systems and internet connections. This role is office based, with some site visits required, in Hamilton, within business hours, working each day, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to IT support requests, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
• Set up, configure, and troubleshoot VoIP phones and systems.
• Collaborate with IT team members to resolve complex technical issues.
• Document support activities and solutions.
• Monitor IT systems to identify and address potential issues.
• Train and guide end-users on IT best practices.
• Stay updated on IT and VoIP technologies.

Qualifications:

• Experience in IT support, particularly within a managed service environment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services (Microsoft 365).
• Experience with VoIP systems and protocols (SIP, RTP, PBX).
• Familiarity with RMM and PSA systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• NZ residency or valid NZ work permit and a NZ driving license.
