IT Support Engineer

Role Description The IT Support Engineer role is a part-time remote position responsible for providing day-to-day technical support to team members and facilities. The role includes diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, managing user accounts and permissions, and supporting core business systems used in logistics and terminal operations. The IT Support Engineer will respond to help desk requests, document incidents and resolutions, and escalate complex issues when necessary. The role also involves maintaining system performance, assisting with updates and backups, and contributing to continuous improvement of IT processes and security practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Technical Support and Help Desk Support skills for resolving user issues efficiently.
• Candidates should possess solid Information Technology knowledge and System Administration skills for managing systems, user accounts, and configurations.
• Candidates should possess excellent Troubleshooting skills for identifying, analyzing, and resolving hardware, software, and network problems.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with remote support tools, ticketing systems, and basic network concepts (LAN/WAN, VPN).
• Relevant education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong communication skills, customer-focused mindset, and ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting.
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux environments, Office productivity tools, and basic cybersecurity practices is beneficial.
• Previous experience in logistics, industrial facilities, or similar operational environments is an advantage.
