IT Support Engineer

About the Role

Sharp Brains is looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide workplace technology support at a customer location in the Netherlands.

You will resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues while supporting users in coordination with international service desk and infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for laptops, desktops and end-user devices.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and connectivity incidents.
• Install, configure, replace and upgrade IT equipment.
• Perform IMAC and break-fix activities.
• Support Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams and VPN.
• Perform routine Active Directory user-account activities.
• Manage incidents and requests through ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy or a similar platform.
• Support printers, mobile devices, monitors, docking stations and meeting-room equipment.
• Maintain accurate asset and inventory records.
• Provide basic smart-hands support to network and infrastructure teams.
• Escalate complex incidents and follow them through to resolution.
• Document completed work and comply with security procedures and service levels.

Requirements

• Professional experience in IT support, desktop support or end-user computing.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and computer hardware.
• Experience with Active Directory and IT ticketing systems.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, Wi-Fi and VPN.
• Knowledge of Intune, SCCM, Autopilot or macOS is advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with remote teams.
• Professional English is required.
• Dutch language skills are preferred.
• Valid authorisation to work in the Netherlands.
