IT Support Engineer

We are seeking a tech-savvy and detail-oriented IT Professional who understands both the challenges and opportunities within the marine shipping industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing IT systems, supporting marine-specific applications, and leading digital initiatives that improve operational efficiency and data management.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot IT infrastructure (networks, servers, hardware, etc.) across multiple shipping terminals and office locations.
• Support and configure marine industry-specific software
• Work closely with internal departments to identify technology needs and implement tailored software solutions.
• Ensure data integrity, cybersecurity, and compliance with maritime IT standards.
• Provide user support and training for both shore-based and onboard teams.
• Coordinate with software vendors, developers, and external IT partners.
• Participate in the implementation of new systems and digital transformation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in an IT role, preferably within maritime, logistics, or transportation sectors.
• Proficiency in software systems relevant to Marine Industry
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and IT best practices.
• Familiarity with satellite communications, onboard networking, and remote access systems is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
