Job Description – IT Officer / IT Support Executive

Job Summary

The IT Officer / IT Support Executive is responsible for maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, providing technical support to employees, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and networks, and maintaining data security. The role includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing IT equipment, and supporting the implementation and maintenance of company software systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Support and Troubleshooting

• Provide technical support to employees for computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, email, and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, and update operating systems and business applications.
• Ensure all IT-related issues are resolved promptly to minimize business disruptions.

2. Network and System Administration

• Maintain office networks, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and internet connectivity.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and email configurations.
• Monitor system performance and coordinate with external IT service providers when required.
• Maintain antivirus protection, firewalls, and security updates.

3. Software and ERP Support

• Support the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of company software, ERP, and other business applications.
• Coordinate with software vendors for system updates, troubleshooting, data migration, and user training.
• Assist employees in using company software effectively.
• Identify system issues and follow up with vendors until resolution.

4. Data Security and Backup

• Ensure regular data backups and verify backup availability.
• Maintain confidentiality of company information and restrict unauthorized access.
• Implement appropriate data protection and access-control procedures.
• Support data recovery and system restoration when required.

5. IT Asset Management

• Maintain an updated inventory of computers, laptops, printers, software licenses, and other IT assets.
• Record equipment allocation, transfers, repairs, and replacements.
• Monitor software license validity and IT equipment warranty and renewal dates.
• Recommend IT equipment upgrades and replacements when necessary.

6. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain records of IT issues, service requests, maintenance activities, and system changes.
• Prepare periodic reports on IT assets, system performance, and outstanding technical issues.
• Maintain IT policies, procedures, and user documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant IT support experience.
• Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, email systems, and computer hardware.
• Basic knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, data backup, and user access management.
• Experience supporting ERP or business management software is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with external IT vendors.
• Good command of English.

Pay: Up to AED6,000.00 per month
