IT Support Engineer (URGENT)

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 IT support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and other IT peripherals.
• Install, configure, deploy and maintain end-user hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and connectivity issues.
• Support and maintain IT infrastructure, including network devices, Wi-Fi, VPN and internet connectivity.
• Administer Microsoft 365 accounts, licences, mailboxes, MFA and user access.
• Support cloud-based systems, virtual machines and related IT infrastructure.
• Manage IT storage, backup and recovery processes, including regular monitoring and testing.
• Perform system updates, patching, endpoint protection and basic cybersecurity activities.
• Support business applications and coordinate with external vendors for troubleshooting and system enhancements.
• Maintain IT asset inventories, software licences, warranties and related records.
• Prepare and maintain IT documentation, SOPs, system records and technical guidelines.
• Assist with IT security, compliance, audit and risk management activities.
• Provide technical support across multiple locations and work closely with internal users and external vendors.
• Participate in IT projects, system implementations, upgrades and process improvement initiatives.
• Ad hoc duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft or ITIL will be an advantage.
• At least 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in IT support, infrastructure or systems administration.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows operating systems, PC hardware and troubleshooting.
• Experience in Microsoft 365 administration, including user accounts, access management and MFA.
• Good understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Wi-Fi and VPN.
• Experience supporting network equipment such as switches, firewalls and wireless devices.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, backup solutions, storage systems and endpoint security is an advantage.
