IT Support Infrastructure Engineer (Level 2 / Level 3)
Location: Kuala Lumpur

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Infrastructure Support Engineer to manage and lead daily IT operations and provide Level 2 / Level 3 support across approximately nine global offices supporting more than 80 users.

Reporting to the IT Lead, you will maintain a Microsoft-based cloud environment, resolve technical escalations, and support infrastructure improvements. This role offers regional and international exposure, with opportunities to support overseas offices and occasionally travel to international branches.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Azure IaaS, including Azure Virtual Machines, virtual networks, and storage.
• Maintain Windows Server workloads, domain controllers, and file servers hosted in Azure, including patching, performance monitoring, file shares, and access permissions.
• Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
• Manage Active Directory Domain Services and Microsoft Entra ID, covering users, groups, access, authentication, and identity synchronisation.
• Administer Microsoft Intune, including device enrolment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and endpoint security settings.
• Review Microsoft Defender XDR alerts, remediate vulnerabilities, and support security hardening and incident response.
• Troubleshoot network and firewall issues, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and internet connectivity.
• Monitor backups and infrastructure health, investigate failures, and support restoration and disaster recovery activities.
• Resolve complex issues escalated by Level 1 support and coordinate with vendors when required.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and implementations, and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in infrastructure support, systems administration, systems engineering, or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience managing Azure Virtual Machines and Microsoft Azure IaaS.
• Practical experience with Windows Server, domain controllers, file servers, server maintenance, and patching.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory Domain Services, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft Intune device and policy management.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender XDR, vulnerability remediation, and security best practices.
• Working knowledge of networking, firewalls, backup, recovery, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Ability to independently investigate and resolve technical issues, manage priorities, and escalate appropriately.
• Good communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate across international offices.

Additional Information

• Hands-on individual contributor role reporting directly to the IT Lead.
• Occasional after-hours support may be required for maintenance and critical incidents.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM11,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
