IT Support Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled, proactive, and service-oriented IT Officer to manage and support the company's IT infrastructure, systems, hardware, software, and day-to-day technical operations. The successful candidate will ensure that employees have reliable access to IT resources, troubleshoot technical issues, maintain system security, and support the implementation of technology solutions that improve business efficiency.

Job Description

• Manage and maintain the company's computers, printers, network devices, servers, and other IT equipment.
• Provide technical support to employees and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, update, and maintain computer hardware and software.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot internet and connectivity problems.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, passwords, and system configurations.
• Ensure regular data backup and support data recovery procedures.
• Maintain IT asset registers and records of company hardware and software.
• Monitor systems for security risks, malware, unauthorized access, and other threats.
• Implement and maintain basic IT security policies and procedures.
• Assist with the procurement, setup, and deployment of IT equipment and software.
• Manage company email accounts, cloud applications, and other business technology platforms.
• Conduct routine system maintenance and software updates.
• Train and guide employees on the proper use of IT systems, applications, and security practices.
• Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers when specialized support is required.
• Document technical issues, resolutions, system changes, and maintenance activities.
• Support the implementation and integration of new IT systems and technologies.
• Ensure IT operations comply with company policies and applicable data protection requirements.
• Perform other IT-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements/Skills

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• proven years of relevant IT support or systems administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, email systems, and cloud applications.
• Basic knowledge of network configuration, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi systems.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, data backup, and access control practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple technical issues and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent are an advantage.

Pay: ₦90,000.00 per month
