IT Support Officer

1. Job Summary

We are looking for an IT Support Officer with good knowledge of Tally Prime, ERP software, and backend operations. The candidate will support day-to-day software operations, assist users, maintain data accuracy, generate reports, and coordinate with departments to ensure smooth business operations.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Tally & ERP Support

• Provide day-to-day support for Tally Prime and ERP software.
• Assist users with software-related issues and troubleshoot errors.
• Support the creation and maintenance of masters, user accounts, and access permissions, as authorized.
• Assist with data entry, transaction verification, and data accuracy.
• Generate and maintain operational reports using Tally, ERP, and MS Excel.
• Coordinate with software vendors for technical issues, updates, and troubleshooting.
• Support software configuration and ensure smooth system functioning.

B. Backend Operations & Reporting

• Maintain accurate digital records and business data.
• Assist departments in maintaining and retrieving ERP-related information.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
• Identify data discrepancies and coordinate with the relevant departments for corrections.
• Maintain proper documentation of software issues, resolutions, and system updates.
• Support data backup activities and follow company data security procedures.

C. Basic IT Support

• Provide basic support for desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners.
• Troubleshoot software installation and network connectivity issues.
• Assist with email configuration and Microsoft Office applications.
• Coordinate with external IT vendors for hardware and network-related problems.

3. Educational Qualification

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Commerce, or a related field.
• Candidates with relevant Tally and ERP certifications will be preferred.

4. Experience & Technical Skills

• 1–3 years of experience in Tally, ERP support, backend operations, or application support.
• Good working knowledge of Tally Prime.
• Familiarity with ERP software and business transaction workflows.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, data handling, and report preparation.
• Basic understanding of accounting entries and business documentation.
• Ability to troubleshoot software issues and coordinate with users and vendors.
• Basic computer hardware and networking knowledge.

5. Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting Tally or ERP applications in a business environment.
• Knowledge of inventory, purchase, sales, and stock-related transactions.
• Experience in report generation and data reconciliation.
• Exposure to manufacturing, dairy, or FMCG operations will be an advantage.
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
