IT Support Representative

Job Purpose

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing remote technical support to staff for a wide range of IT-related issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting computer hardware and software, excellent communication skills, and a customer-first approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, and video conference, providing technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software systems.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of technical issues, resolutions, and system changes.
• Manage software upgrades and updates, ensuring compatibility with existing systems.
• Train users on hardware and software usage and provide ongoing technical support as needed.
• Research, record, and analyze data to effectively manage information flow and support business operations.

Additional Duties

• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in IT support, including hands-on experience with Windows and Mac operating systems.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, and networking concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Familiarity with remote support tools and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Bilingual proficiency required: Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).

While performing the duties of this position, the employee will frequently move throughout the workplace, sit for extended periods, use a computer, and communicate verbally and in writing. The role requires the ability to read, write, concentrate, analyze information, reason logically, and perform basic calculations.
