IT Support Specialist

Job Summary

Flux Systems is seeking a customer-focused IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance, troubleshoot IT issues, and help maintain reliable technology operations. This role involves supporting computer systems, business applications, user accounts, and network connectivity while ensuring that technical requests are handled efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for computers, software applications, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues.
• Respond to support requests through email, phone, remote access, or ticketing systems.
• Install, configure, and update operating systems and business applications.
• Assist with user accounts, password resets, and access permissions.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, Wi-Fi, VPN, and peripheral device issues.
• Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately.
• Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT personnel when necessary.
• Assist with system maintenance, security updates, and endpoint protection.
• Maintain IT equipment records and technical support documentation.
• Guide users on software functionality and standard technology procedures.
• Follow company security policies and protect confidential business information.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in IT support, help desk operations, or a related technical role is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and common business applications.
• Understanding of computer hardware, software installation, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs.
• Basic knowledge of user account management and cybersecurity practices.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to prioritize requests and manage multiple support tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience with remote support tools and ticketing platforms.
• Knowledge of endpoint management and IT asset tracking.
• CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent technical training.
• Willingness to learn new systems and support technologies.
