IT Support Specialist

Position Summary

Heliora is seeking an IT Support Specialist to assist users with technical issues, maintain reliable IT operations, and support the effective use of computer systems and software. The role involves troubleshooting problems, responding to support requests, and helping users resolve everyday technical challenges. Remote or hybrid work arrangements may be available in Ottawa, Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Respond to IT support requests and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Assist users with computer hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
• Install, configure, and update software and computer equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
• Monitor recurring technical issues and identify possible solutions.
• Support user account management and basic access-related requests.
• Coordinate with relevant team members to resolve more complex technical problems.

Requirements

• Experience in IT support, technical assistance, or a related field is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and common software applications.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting technical and connectivity issues.
• Ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize support requests and document solutions accurately.

Pay: $71,200.00-$72,000.00 per year
