IT SUPPORT STAFF

About the role
Geo Energy Group is seeking a dedicated IT Support Staff to join our team in Jakarta Utara, Jakarta Raya on a full-time basis. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our network infrastructure and IT systems. As IT Support Staff, you will provide essential technical support to ensure our operations run smoothly, whilst troubleshooting network-related issues and assisting users across the organisation. This position plays a vital role in supporting our business continuity and enabling our teams to work effectively.

What you'll be doing

• Provide front-line technical support to end-users, responding to IT and network-related queries and issues in a timely manner
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems, hardware malfunctions, and software issues
• Monitor network performance and identify potential bottlenecks or areas for improvement
• Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment and systems
• Maintain and update IT asset inventory and documentation
• Support the deployment of software updates and patches across the organisation
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior network engineers and specialists when necessary
• Provide user training and guidance on IT systems and best practices
• Maintain detailed records of support tickets and technical resolutions
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Completed secondary education or equivalent qualification, with relevant technical certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco CCENT
• Proven experience in IT support or helpdesk roles, preferably with exposure to network infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and basic network troubleshooting
• Proficiency with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Experience with network monitoring tools and ticket management systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with users at all levels
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation
• Knowledge of IT security best practices and data protection principles
• Preferred experience in energy or industrial sectors would be advantageous
