IT Support Technician

Miles IT is seeking a reliable and technically skilled IT Support Technician to provide technical assistance, troubleshoot computer and network issues, and help maintain dependable IT systems for customers. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
• Install, configure, and update operating systems and business applications.
• Assist users with account access, password resets, and basic system permissions.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, Wi-Fi, and peripheral device issues.
• Maintain support tickets and document troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
• Set up workstations and prepare devices for new users.
• Assist with software updates, system maintenance, and security procedures.
• Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff when necessary.
• Provide clear instructions and professional support to customers and employees.

Requirements

• Previous IT support, help desk, or computer repair experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical solutions clearly to nontechnical users.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritize urgent issues.
