IT Support Technician

SUMMARY

The world's leading producer of fine and ultrafine wire has a new opportunity for a full time IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team in Boscawen, NH.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Working within a small IT Operations team of three, supporting a local $160 million manufacturing environment.

SALARY

Salary range: $55,000 - $70,000 per year. Compensation commensurate with education and/or experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide day-to-day technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and general office IT equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for end users
• Assist with imaging, configuring, and deploying new PCs and printers
• Support and help maintain existing systems within our Windows domain environment
• Assist with configuring new systems and joining them to the domain
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and basic Active Directory tasks under guidance from senior IT staff
• Document recurring issues, solutions, and standard procedures
• Escalate more complex network, server, or security issues to senior IT staff as needed
• Maintain a professional, customer-service-oriented approach when assisting employees

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certifications (or actively pursuing)
• Equivalent hands-on experience will be considered in place of formal education/certifications
• Basic understanding of Windows domain architecture (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP fundamentals)
• Familiarity with troubleshooting PCs, printers, and peripheral devices
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests
• On-site work, with remote work possible on an exception basis

PREFERRED (Not Required)

• Exposure to networking concepts (VLANs, switches, firewalls)
• Linux Ubuntu basic Knowledge
