What they need
Your Opportunity
Technology should make work easier, not slow it down. As our IT Support Technician, you will be the first point of contact for employees who need practical, responsive technology support. You will troubleshoot issues, prepare and maintain devices, support Microsoft 365 and mobile tools, and help protect our people and systems. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, building trust with users, and seeing the immediate impact of their work across offices and active job sites.
What Makes This Role Engaging
· Variety every day, from quick user questions and device deployments to network troubleshooting and job-site support.
· Visible impact across the business by helping employees stay connected, efficient, and confident with technology.
· Room to grow your technical range while partnering closely with the IT Director and outside vendors.
· A people-focused environment where patience, follow-through, and clear communication matter as much as technical skill.
What You’ll Do
Deliver responsive end-user support
· Respond to help desk requests by phone, email, remote session, and in person, prioritizing issues based on urgency and business impact.
· Troubleshoot Windows 11 desktops and laptops, Microsoft 365 applications, Zoom, printers, phones, and peripheral devices.
· Communicate solutions in clear, practical language and keep users informed through resolution.
· Escalate complex issues to the IT Director or appropriate vendor with thorough notes on troubleshooting already completed.
Set up and manage technology
· Image, configure, and deploy computers and mobile devices for new hires, replacements, and role changes.
· Use the company’s remote monitoring and management platform to support devices, monitor alerts, deploy software, and complete routine maintenance.
· Perform hardware repairs, upgrades, and component replacements.
· Maintain accurate records for hardware, accessories, licenses, asset assignments, and warranties.
· Securely prepare retiring equipment for reuse or disposal.
Support mobile devices and connectivity
· Enroll, configure, and support company iPhones and iPads through the mobile device management platform.
· Deploy approved applications, policies, and settings, and assist with lost, stolen, or retired devices.
· Troubleshoot mobile email, application, Wi-Fi, VPN, and connectivity issues.
· Assist with basic switch troubleshooting and temporary or remote network setups under the direction of the IT Director.
Strengthen security and the employee experience
· Assist users with multi-factor authentication and route account or access requests to the designated administrator.
· Review reported phishing emails and guide employees on the appropriate next step.
· Support device and software patching through the RMM platform and follow up on devices that do not update successfully.
· Complete the equipment portions of onboarding and offboarding, including setup, handoff, return, and tracking.
· Create useful knowledge base articles, how-to guides, and employee training that encourage secure, effective use of technology.
What You Bring
· A service-first approach: patient, professional, approachable, and able to explain technical topics to non-technical users.
· 1–3 years of IT support experience in an office environment.
· Hands-on experience supporting Windows 11, Microsoft 365, ticketing or help desk systems, printers, phones, and peripheral devices.
· Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including Wi-Fi, VPN, and switches.
· Experience supporting iPhones and iPads and familiarity with an RMM platform or similar remote management tools.
· Strong troubleshooting, organization, time management, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
· A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a driving record acceptable for local travel to offices and job sites.
Experience That Will Help You Stand Out
· Experience with Apple mobile device management platforms and device imaging tools.
· Experience supporting Zoom administration or conference room technology.
· Experience reviewing phishing reports or supporting security awareness efforts.
Work Environment & Schedule
This is an on-site role with local travel between company offices and job sites. The typical schedule follows standard weekday hours, with occasional after-hours or weekend work for upgrades, migrations, office moves, or other projects. The role is primarily office-based and also includes regular work in field office and job-site conditions.
Physical Requirements
· Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including monitors, computers, and related equipment.
· Work under desks and in tight spaces.
· Climb ladders and assist with running cable.
· Drive to job sites and other office locations as needed.
