Job Title: IT Support Technician

Location: Bournemouth, UK (Office-based)

Salary Start: £22,000 per annum, depending on experience

As our operations continue to expand, we're seeking a reliable, proactive IT Support Technician to keep our systems running smoothly, ensuring we deliver the excellent service our customers have come to expect.

• PC Hardware & Software Maintenance: Ensuring PCs, peripherals, card machines, and mobile devices are fully operational.
• Network & Cabling: Managing and maintaining PC and phone cabling, network configurations, and external internet connections.
• icabbi Dispatch system: Overseeing the support, configuration, and troubleshooting of our icabbi dispatch and booking system.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Quickly diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues, liaising with external system support when needed.
• Staff Tech Support: Assisting operators, telephonists, and admin staff with daily technical issues, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Website Management: Performing regular updates and adjustments to our main, staff, and driver-specific websites.
• Communication Lines: Troubleshooting phone lines, ensuring consistent and reliable internal and external communication.
• Safety Checks: Carrying out emergency lighting and fire alarm testing.
• Excellent Communication: Providing friendly, patient, and professional support to our diverse team - especially when handling challenging situations calmly and effectively.

Ideal Candidate:

• Has experience in an IT support role, ideally 1-2 years minimum.
• Comfortable working with hardware, software, networks, and websites.
• Experience or willingness to learn and support Cab9 dispatch software.
• Confident user of Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical issues.
• Calm under pressure with a great sense of humour - particularly helpful when supporting team members with varying levels of IT expertise.
