IT Support Trainee

• Job Summary
• IT Support Trainee to help provide support, responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and support for Windows/ Linux based systems across the organization. This role ensures smooth operation of enduser devices, servers, and applications by diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing system maintenance, and escalating complex problems when required, Support engineer collaborates with IT teams to maintain system stability

Education & Experience

• Education: Graduation with additional certificate related to IT.
• Value-Add Certifications

Microsoft certification related to server (MCSE/ MCSA/ etc)

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for users reporting IT issues via phone, email, or ticketing tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced issues related to Windows OS, system performance, drivers, domain services, and enterprise applications.
• Manage and support Windows Server environment, including services like DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print servers.
• Maintain accurate incident logs and service request documentation.
• Perform system analysis, root cause identification, and preventive recommendations.
• Handle/ Perform patching, updates, and server health checks.
• Support system migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors/ OEM and cross-functional IT teams for complex issue resolution.
• Administrator and troubleshoot Windows Server OS (2019/2022/2025).
• Configure and monitor Veritas NetBackup jobs and policies.
• Manage VMware ESXi/Hyper-V environments, maintain virtual machines and resources, monitor performance and resolve VM-related issues.
• Maintain inventory of IT assets and update records regularly.
• Maintain application licensees
• Provide L2 support for desktops/laptops, OS, applications, and hardware.
• Coordinate with application vendors and internal teams for escalations.
• Document known issues and solutions in knowledge base.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless support coverage.
• Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT hardware.
• Provide timely resolution and excellent customer service to internal users.
• Strong problem-solving attitude and willingness to learn.
