IT System Administrator

We are hiring IT System Administrator:

Core Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and support payment systems and related applications.
• Perform system health checks, capacity monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Implement security patches and ensure timely closure of vulnerabilities in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Review security advisories and assess the impact on payment systems.
• Coordinate with vendors for product updates, fixes, and security enhancements.
• Support audit reviews, compliance assessments, and regulatory requirements (PCI DSS, ISO 27001, etc.).
• Investigate and resolve incidents, problems, and production issues within agreed SLAs.
• Maintain system documentation, configuration records, system profiles, and operational procedures.
• Support disaster recovery (DR) testing, backup verification, and business continuity activities.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, database, and business teams to deliver projects and operational improvements.
• Ensure timely closure of service requests, incidents, and audit observations.
• Create/Renew digital certificates

Technical Skills

• knowledge of payment systems and remittance systems
• Experience with Windows Server, OpenShift, and Linux administration
• Knowledge of WebLogic, Java, IIS, Apache, or application servers.
• Experience with vulnerability management and security patching.
• Familiarity with system hardening
• Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls, and Load Balancers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in system administration, preferably within banking or payment systems.
• Relevant certifications are an advantage (ITIL, Microsoft, Oracle, Linux, OpenShift).

Pay: QAR21,000.00 per month
