Sit between the operators we serve and the systems that keep them running. You'll own heavy oil & gas software — the accounting, land, geology, and operations platforms a producer lives in — while also carrying the IT side of the house: networking, hardware, and the emerging AI work that's starting to change how these teams operate. This is a customer-facing role. You'll be in front of operators, listening to how they actually work and turning that into systems that fit.

What you'll do

• Support, configure, and troubleshoot heavy oil & gas software across accounting, land, geology, and operations teams
• Be the on-the-ground face of Black Gold at customer sites — translating operator workflows into working systems
• Run the IT side of life: networking, servers, workstations, Microsoft 365, and backups
• Deploy and maintain upstream industry packages, including well data and land systems, and keep them in sync
• Bring AI into the mix — help operators find where it earns its keep and make it usable
• Document systems, train end users, and keep expectations honest
• Assist the Manager of IT with vendor relationships, priorities, and escalations

What we're looking for

• Experience working with heavy oil & gas operators — you know how a producer actually runs
• Hands-on time with upstream software used by accounting, land, geology, or operations
• Comfortable in front of customers: you can explain technical things without talking over people
• Real grounding in the IT side — networking, hardware, Microsoft 365, and common infrastructure
• Practical experience using or deploying AI tools, or a strong drive to own that area
• Able to run a function without a playbook — you decide what needs doing and do it

Location & Work Arrangement

On-site required. You'll be based in Oklahoma City, OK most likely, but we're also open to Austin, TX, Houston, TX, or Amarillo, TX — we have clients there too.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $125,900.00 per year
